Biography

James Schwindeman was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, USA. He earned his B. S. degree in chemistry from Miami University and his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Ohio State University, under the tutelage of Professor Philip D. Magnus. He started his industrial career as a discovery chemist for PPG Industries. He then moved to FMC Lithium, where he worked in positions of increasing responsibility in Research and Development. In recognition of his research activities with Professor Roderick Quirk at the University of Akron, James received the American Chemical Society Cooperative Research Award in 2000. He then leveraged his technical expertise into a role in business development to help customers succeed. He is currently Director, New Business Development at Archimica, Inc.
